What are
successful partners doing these days?
Collaborative
Events
Sage Software partners Ascendix
Technologies, who represents Sage CRM SalesLogix, and ERG, who
represents Sage MAS 90, MAS 200 and MAS 500, co-hosted an event
in Dallas. They turned to Tipping Point Advisors for event
management and marketing guidance. The event centered on
four nationally recognized speakers who presented throughout
the day.
"Positioning ourselves as a resource was
the objective for our first Business Boot Camp," said Greg
Boyd, president of ERG. He is echoed by Wes Snow, president
of Ascendix Technologies, "Being associated with these
speakers gives our firms tremendous credibility."
The end result was 120 attendees and
incredible name recognition for the two firms.
Success Stories
What are you
doing to distinguish your firm and make clients want to do
business with you? Consider client success stories. What
better way to promote your company and the services you
offer than through the success your client's have had.
Sage Software
mid-market partner Mike Fitzgerald with The Fitzgerald Group
uses success stories to set his firm ahead of others. Mike
outsourced the writing of the success stories to Tipping
Point Advisors. "We had Christine interview and write two
success stories. Since then, we have been using them to
differentiate our firm to prospects. The success stories
have certainly set us apart and have helped us add new
clients," said Mike.
Client
Conferences
Taking care of
our clients and increasing their loyalty is a successful
revenue generator. Some partners with large client bases
have put together one day client conferences. In addition to
inviting clients, top prospects are invited as well. Tipping
Point Advisors helped Automated Accounting Solutions with
their premier client conference in October 2002. Not only
did the 100 client attendees receive tremendous value, but
five prospects also attended the event. To date, four deals
have closed. "Christine planned our first ever client
conference from start to finish. She managed the event and
made sure everything happened according to plan. The day was
a complete success - our staff loved being around the
customers and our customers learned a lot and were able to
network with one another," said Judy Peterson, president of
Automated Accounting Solutions.
Account
Management
Having an
internal advocate dedicated to your clients has been a
success for all companies that have implemented an account
manager. Some partner organizations have seen revenue
increases up to 20% after a full-time account manager has
come on board. Tipping Point Advisors has hired and trained
account managers for partner organizations. "Because of
growth, we needed to hire our first account manager.
Christine put together the ad, ran it, sorted through all
the resumes we received, and conducted the phone and
in-person interviews. She gave us three great candidates to
choose from. When we hired the one that best fit with our
company's values, Christine came in and trained her. I
couldn't be happier with the results. Her experience in our
industry makes her invaluable," Art Nathan, president of Solution Strategists.
